Project for the night
Baby Kimono Shirt
I found this cute pattern today at http://habitual.wordpress.com/kimono/
I'm going to give this to my friend that is having a baby girl next month. I'm also going to make some matching kimono baby shoes to go with it. I'll post pics when I do those.

2 large egg whites (I used Egg Beaters)

Cream Cheese Topping (recipe follows)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder and baking soda in small bowl.
Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until crumbly.
Add eggs, egg whites, pumpkin and carrot; beat until well blended.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Spread into prepared pan.
Drop teaspoonfuls of Cream Cheese Topping over batter; swirl mixture with spoon.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
For Cream Cheese Topping: Combine 4 ounces softened cream cheese (I used fat free), 1/4 cup granulated sugar (splenda) and 1 tablespoon milk in small mixer bowl until thoroughly blended.
With my modificatations it turns out to be 100 calories per bar.

Wednesday
Today was my first real day of classes. It went pretty well even though I only had two periods. Tomorrow will be the real test with a full day of classes. After school we went to costco for a few things, came home, ate dinner of turkey burgers and grilled asparagus, cleaned and got out my tote of fall decor, and then went to zumba. After zumba I put some decorations out and now it's bedtime. Night.

Today
Today after school Nathan and I went for a celebratory dinner at an indian restaurant. I got the butter chicken, which was delicious. We then went to Rita's for gelato, and saw a nail salon, so I went to get my nails did, especially because my feet were so gross.after that we came home and I re-sprayed for my big weeds in my beds, spot sprayed for moles, and sprayed some everything but lawn killer to see what happens. I'm ready to start planting some fall flowers and some grass seed to get my lawn looking neater. The hedge trimmer is great but now I need a ladder or something so I can reach the top of my tall bushes.
I also need to get out my fall decorations now that school has started!
SCHOOL
Back to school today. BOO! I like my summer!
Oh well, here are some pictures:
My info wall with various things the kids might want to know:
The "mailboxes" where they keep their music and such (and instruments to be sent to the shop on top):
Setting up the chairs:
It looks like my classes will be pretty good, except for one crazy, talkative class. Time will tell :)

Friend's Party
My friend Amanda is getting married next month, so I spent my Labor Day weekend on a quick trip to CT for a party:
Here she is :)
Fire:
We had a slumber party. We started out by doing some zumba so we wouldn't feel bad about eating junk food all night. We had a delicious dinner, had a fire, played games, took a midnight walk to see the stars, and stayed up late. It was a fun time! (BTW roasted marshmallow between two fresh backed cookies is delicious)...
