Dear World,

My computer has died. Looking at reasons why, it looks like it is a problem with the graphics card. A lot of people online have this same problem. Good thing I bought the exteded warranty Anyway, I have sent it off and they will either fix it or send me a new one.

I don't like not having a computer at home to use! I miss farmville....

Also, we have not yet found a house yet. Still waiting. All the houses are either too expensive, not in good areas, or short sales. BOOOOO.

My school is going to competition next weekend. We are working like crazy.

Nathan's car is slowy going kaput. He needs a new muffler. Luckily there are ways for me to commute to school so we don't have to drive it that much.

I guess that's all.

Dear Readers

You should comment on my blog posts every time you read them so I know that it is worth it!

Free food alert!

Tomorrow is FREE Grand Slam Day at Dennys from 8am-2pm!

Cats

The cats are so silly with us being home all day.

Here is Talkee all snuggled up on the bed. Her paw was blocking her eyes from the light.

Here is Lily doing gymnastics on the couch.

After the storm

So, finally the storm stopped! Here is the final verdict of our cars. It took a few hours to dig out. Nathan's car is uncovered, but not dug out yet...

It was soooo sunny and reflective, sunglasses were necessary!

A lot of trees went down, but none on cars. Our power went out for a few hours, so we ended up going to our friend's house after we dug out my car and watched the Super Bowl. By the time we got back home, our power was back on.

Nathan is very tired after shoveling the car out

And guess what! Another storm is on its way. School is already cancelled for tomorrow, and we are expecting 10-20 inches, and lots of wind.

Snow day activity

This was my snow day project. I didn't really use a pattern and just tried to figure it out myself. I think it was pretty good for a first try!

Snow cats

So I let the cats go explore the snow on the patio. Talkee was funny because she would shake her leg each time she took a step. I think she liked it, though. I had to pick her up and carry her inside because she didn't want to leave! Oh, Alaskan kitty of mine....
Lily was a bit confused, but didn't seem to terribly mind it (too much!)

Here are their adorable footprints!

24 hours later

Here is the damage 24 hours later... and it's still going. I measured around the car, and it was about 15 inches.

My glamor shots:

Above is the view we see as we walk down the stairs to go to the parking lot. Some branches down, and the rest is just so heavy.
Our cars, 24 hours later.

There is absolutely no way we can have school on Monday. I tried to start to dig out my car, but didn't last very long. The cars are just going to be stuck there for a few days.

6 hours in...

School was cancelled last night before the snow even started, though we were both up early this morning anyway. We took a trip to Costco to "stock up" like the rest of VA/MD/DC. Then we went to the grocery store for more "supplies".

Snow started about 10:30 this morning.
