Tonight

Decided to have a fire tonight:

My camera works good in the night. Here is my tree:

Marshmallow:

Funny me (there are two double bright flashes. I went blind after this picture!)

Nathan rocking out to Poker Face:

This afternoon

It was so beautiful out and Nathan was at work, so I sat on the deck and read for a while. Lily decided to be brave and venture on the deck for the first time. Usually she is so afraid. She's the cat we don't have to worry about running off. Talkee has to go on a leash whenever she goes outside.

Then I decided to put a new bike seat on since it will be cool enough to actually go on rides.
This one has a gel seat:

I need to let it charge for a few hours before I can really unleash the real cutting power, but it does a good job :)

Quick & Easy - How to fix a running toilet

Our toilet has been running for weeks, so of course I am the one to fix it....

Take a look inside the top:

Uh oh, the stopper is warped. This is where the water is getting through.

New stopper ($5) at Home Depot:

Taa-daa! The toilet is silent! And this repair only took 5 seconds to figure out the problem and 2 minutes to fix.

Guess I am quite the handyman of the family ;-)

Finished cupcakes

Here are some finished peach cupcakes. They sure are delicious. They have a muffin-ish texture to them, which makes them especially yummy for breakfast :)

Farmer's Market

There is a weekly farmer's market right down the street from me. This week is was overtaken by freshly picked peaches - yum!

I also picked up some apples and nectarines, green beans, squash, kettle corn (made while you watch and DELICIOUS), and buffalo hot dogs.

Tomorrow I am going to try out a HEALTHY peach cupcake recipe. Pictures will of course come after!

Hi there!

munchkin anyone?

Anyone play Munchkin? It is a really fun card game.

We got some new games, so we decided to have a Munchkin party. We played two of the games separately, and then put all of them together into one epic game.

New nephews

I have two new nephews that were born today to Nathan's sister Amanda. Twin boys. Roy is on the left, and Gil is on the right.

new camera

A while back my camera's screen stopped working. I could still use it, but I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of. Well the other day my camera decided to not even snap pictures anymore, so I got a new one at Costco today:

I like it so far, and hopefully it will last for a long time to come and bring me lots of great pictures!

I needed to make the fondant firmer to be able to manipulate it better. But it tasted so yummy!

We had some friends come and visit so we went to DC.
We were going to take a segway tour, but didn't make it. We did get to try them out though, and will go on the tour another time.

Here is Nathan trying it out:
