Day 2

Today we woke up and went down to breakfast, loaded the bus, and left Charlotte. The bus was fine, and we had no issues. We got to Atlanta:

and then went to the Georgia Aquarium:

After we checked into the hotel, we went to Andretti Karting and Games:

We all got to go around the track, speeding really fast and whipping around the corners. We also got arcade game play, dinner, billiards, and bowling.

It was a fun night.

Now: 

Hoping for no escapees...there is a Waffle House next door...

Tomorrow is concert day!

Day 1 of trip

At 1pm we packed up the bus and head out on our adventure. We made it all the way to North Carolina and then the bus started to smell funny, like something was burning...

We pulled over to investigate. A state trooper stopped to see if we were ok. I'm not sure what was exactly wrong, but it was fixed and we made finally made it to Charlotte, NC.

Thirty more minutes and then I can go to bed....so tired...

Tomorrow will be fun, though.

On my way to...

ATLANTA!

Taking 34 of my students on a 5-day trip to Atlanta. We leave tomorrow, and it should be a good time! On the itinerary: Atlanta Aquarium, World of Coke, Hard Rock Cafe, Go-Karting, concert at a retirement home, competition against other schools, Six Flags, and lots of fun. Expect pictures next week!

Of the season...and doesn't it feel good!

Competition

This past Friday I took my two orchestras to competition.

We got the results....and....

The Philharmonic Orchestra received a rating of EXCELLENT!

and

The Chamber Orchestra received a rating of SUPERIOR!
